These are specialized installations that need to be sized, placed, and inspected correctly, so they are best handled by a professional rather than a trip to the hardware store.
After the Storm Passes
Even a well-prepared tree can take damage in a severe event. When the weather clears, stay clear of any tree touching or near a power line and call the utility. Keep your distance from hanging limbs and split trunks, which hold enormous stored energy and can move without warning. Photograph the damage for your records, then have a qualified arborist evaluate the tree before anyone climbs or cuts.
